I'll never forget that day on January 9th, 1972.
I had a message on my twitter account marked urgent. It was from Seaweed, and he advised me to bet on the Milwaukee Bucks against the Lakers, and their 33 game winning streak. I said, "Are you crazy? What are you thinking? What is wrong with you?!"
He wrote back with his calming, nurturing tone and just said "The Lakers streak ends tonight. Mark my words".
Milwaukee ended up beating the Lakers that night 120-104. Later that evening, I asked Seaweed if he had spent the night celebrating his historic victory, and his answer was simply "no", and the reasoning was, "there was money to be made on January 10th.”
