you have 6 months and as long as you play points from the rollover once, the clock starts again, I believe (the rollover would have to be untouched for 6 months to expire).
If you go to the ring tables during the USA night time (let's say from 8 PM Eastern and on), there's usually a few tables going. During the day it's less active.
