The problem with this argument is the fact that no matter what Obama wants to do to improve the country the Republicans shut it down. If you don't give the man promising "hope" and a "better country" a chance to do his thing.....you cant blame him when a sh*t storm goes down. And if I remember correctly, all those banks and financial melt down occurred during Bush's 8 years of service and it just all came into effect just as Obama took office. He inherited that garbage.
Obama has been our country's president for over 2 1/2 years and he had a "blank check" during the first 2 years of his administration and he sure did use it.

The problem is that he's spent over $3 TRILLION dollars and our country is in far worse shape now than when it was before he took office. He was given a full opportunity to do "his thing" and it FAILED. While Obama and the democrats made a bad problem much, much worse, we are still one country and its time to re-evaluate where we stand as a nation and make the proper adjustments.

While I agree the republicans really aren't giving Obama much of a chance, I can't blame them when you understand what he did with ObamaCare.

Socializing our country's medical care system has been a democratic party goal dating back to the 50's. Obama along with congressional democrats completely overhauled our nation's medical care system and did it without a single republican vote and did it against the will of the American people. To make matters worse, congressional democrats made sure to exempt themselves, their families and their union buddies from having to participate in it.

Republicans then tried to get a measure passed that would make it a requirement that all government employees be forced to participate in ObamaCare and the democrats blocked it without debate or a vote. The icing on the cake was when Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Stony Hoyer stepped in front of the microphone and said how great ObamaCare will be for the country.

Imagine if President Bush and the republican congress stopped all entitlement programs during their 6 year run and did so without a single democrat signing on. How much support would Bush get from democrats if he did something like that?

What the democrats did was dead wrong and the voters who so strongly supported the democrats in 2008 totally switched alliances leading to a republican thrashing of the democrats in the 2010 mid-term election.

Our nations deficit is $15 TRILLION and climbing and now is the time to go through every government expenditure and eliminate all duplicate and unnecessary programs that exist. The amount of waste in Washington is ENORMOUS.

Once government spending is cut sufficiently (and I mean immediate cuts and not things like cutting TRILLIONS BY 2037), then there can be discussion about raising taxes to make up whatever shortfalls exist and there will be plenty.

Even the socialist Italy is trying to pass a balanced budget amendment so why can't we? Our country's deficit is spiraling out of control and if there is going to be any shred of hope that social security and medicare will be around in the next generation, we have to make MASSIVE, massive cuts NOW!!!
