Greetings, all!
I signed up about a week ago and have been educating myself (lurking, I believe may be the more appropriate term) through many interesting posts in the SBR forums. In particular, those Ganchrow posts seem to contain a wealth of valuable information. Also, you guys clearly do not lack passion for this subject!
So, where do you recommend I go from here for my education? I'm an avid reader and a degreed engineer so I enjoy a learning curve. 'Course, you statisticians and mathematicians are now rolling your eyes saying to yourself, "Oh dear God, another engineer try to use statistics, take cover!"
I've done some minor wagering in the past, but never more than $200 bets. However, I'm interested in wagering larger amounts but approaching this more as "sports investing" rather than "winning the lottery". Hence, I'm interested in developing both a method for estimating win probability and a good money management approach.
What do you recommend - books, other websites, useful SBR threads, published papers, etc.?
Cheers!
