Question about turnover prop bets

Can't find a good answer anywhere but it should be pretty simple. When making a prop bet on football turnovers (5-Dimes specifically) is the prop bet asking about each team specifically or asking about one team relative to the other. For example, the Dallas Cowboys Vs. NYG has the following line:

DAL +.5
NYG -.5

Does NYG have to be atleast 1 turnover ahead of Dallas or is it just asking if NYG will have atleast 1 turnover in general? The Dallas line would probably not make sense if it were each individual team but I want to make sure I'm not missing something. I'm not making this bet but would still like to know if I were to make this prop bet in the future. Thanks for the help

It is like a point spread, so yes, Giants have to have at least 1 more turnover then Dallas.
