Football HALFTIME Betting - how does it work?
I recently searched for the rules on halftime betting and have come away somewhat confused. I find halftime bets intriguing and just wanted to be sure on how they work. Heres my 2 questions...

Do halftime bets work like "full game" bets in that you are still betting on the final score, or do you bet only on the 2nd half points - making the score virtually 0-0 at the half and whoever has the most points in the second half minus the spread of course, wins the bet?

Basically all there is to know about halftime betting is the 2nd half is like starting the game at 0-0 again with only that half counting when it's graded as a w/l.

And you must also remember that as a general rule, unless otherwise specified, OT does indeed count as part of the part...so, if you have an O/U 2H play, beware of OT when you're cheering on your pick!

Welcome, twofingers! Halftime betting can be one of the best chances to make $$$!

As has been said, the halftime lines only consist of what happens between the teams in the second half and OT. So it gives you a chance to watch the first half and then make a wager solely on what happens after that.

Hey, with a nickname like "two fingers" the second half just might be your ticket. From the little I know, like the gentlemen explained above, you are given a line with an over and under. They do tend to change prices quite often during the halftime period, so if you are searching for a certain number, be patient and check back. Also they use a lot of -3(-20) and 21½o+10. Sanford Wong has some books out and there are good books recommended when reading the posts in SBR. The guys here are very knowledgeable and well versed. I also learn something every time I read. It's a great mix of experienced cappers, recreational gamblers and pros, and just guys who like sports.

Oh, you just lucked out. The game just ended. The second half line opened at Baltimore pk-20 and total 20½. It was bet to Baltimore pick (11-10) and 20½(u15). So in the second half Baltimore scored 7 and Jets 0, so Baltimore wins and the game goes under. Correlated parlays are not permitted.

You know, 2 fingers, my kid came from school one day and asked me what the Roman emperor Caesar replied when his close friend Brutus asked him how many hot dogs he ate at the Roman cookout. Caesar replied, et two, Brutay.

I'm no expert on 2nd half lines - it's hard to tell if the winning team in the 1st half is going to keep it up or if the losing team is going to get motivated. 2nd half lines are even more confusing.

You can play around with 2nd half lines in SportPlayz to see if how you would do before betting $$.
