Geez. Betting terminals at the track. That's jumping a long way toward normalization fast.
There was quite a bit of public pushback down here when this was proposed years ago.
Bookmakers need to take some care to not look like they are preying on weak spots to get more people gambling. Thye will eventually be seen as pariahs by the public if they don't plan this carefully and think about the human costs and responsibility closely.
An ex linesman from Soutpoint spoke at the IFBC about NASCAR betting. He mentioned it as a "problem" sport for books as during the rise of nascar there was a book in the public betting the sport but that has died right off and books are pretty much left having to deal with nascar "experts" mostly..Comment
