India Finally Salvage some Pride....
After being continuously spun in a web by the SriLankan spinners, the Indian batsmen finally came to their own and played a big part in winning the 5 match one day series 3-2 in the Emerald Isle. Already being renowned players of Spin the Indian Batsmen led by their skipper M.S. Dhoni and the young Suresh Raina, they counter attacked the spinners aggressively. The Indian medium pacers too pitched in with top performances. Led by the returning spearhead Zaheer Khan they had the SriLankan batsmen in all kind of trouble. Infact they wrapped up the series in the 4th match itself...though they lost the 5th and last match by a whopping 112 runs. Anyways the tour was satisfactory especially in the one-dayers as the Indian team for the first time were without their top three batsmen...and yet they came up triumphant..this is infact a good sign as it shows that Team India can really win without the holy trinity!!!!!
