Seattle University has accepted an invitation to join the (WAC Conference) Western Athletic Conference in 2012. The WAC announced the move yesterday following a board of directors meeting in Park City, Utah. The addition of Seattle on July 1, 2012, means the WAC will have nine full-time members for the 2012-13 season. Seattle, currently an independent, will compete in the WAC in 17 sports, including men's and women's basketball.
