Hell's Kitchen's Red-In-the-Face Chef Boots Bossy Redhead
A man of his word - especially if that word is **** - Gordon Ramsay ousted a contestant who had been given a reprieve last week. (Photo courtesy of Fox.com)
Another week, another dose of Gordon Ramsay's version of anger management in action. The world's most obnoxious chef lit into his aspiring kitchen elves on Tuesday night, dismissing Melissa, a redhead from New York with an attitude suited for the geographic Hell's Kitchen.
Bossy but ultimately more talk than substance, she was eliminated from the Fox TV reality show. Six competing chefs - three men, three women - remain as they aim to win a restaurant of their own in Las Vegas. Melissa had switched teams last week after Ramsay gave her "one last chance" to correct her habit of overdoing everything - a tendency that wasn't limited to food.
The move turned out to sabotage the Blue team, which had previously been composed of all men. With Melissa, they fell apart while the Red team mostly elevated their skills, impressing Ramsay enough to earn a spot in a photo shoot with him. Melissa and the boys were relegated to recycling garbage, a chore that Rock despised so much he threatened to quit. His tirade rivaled Ramsay's and he seemed justified. After all, he's clearly the front-runner and has been let down by the incompetence of teammates.
On Tuesday, the three other members of his team faced rebukes from Ramsay at the end of the show, with Melissa leaving and Josh and Brad each getting tagged with the deadly "one more chance" promise from the man who runs "Hell's Kitchen".
