Predicting:

Petrova 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 over Mauresmo

Sharapova 6-4, 6-4 over Dementieva (hope not though)

Henin-Hardenne 6-3, 6-2 over Hingis

Owned...are you sets betting and/or giving/taking games? I have found that trying to guess the score on women's tennis can be a very tricky proposition.

So many question marks in this tourney as far as I am concerned. Many of these girls have not played much since the U.S. Open, particularly Justine. Sharapova is the odds on favorite at +164 and is looking really good with wins in Zurich & Linz following her win in NY.

For today, I think Mauresmo is a good value at -128. She has a 5-2 record against Petrova and should win this match. Masha & Justine should both win in straight sets.

I rarely do set betting; I will however bet against chalk not to win 2-0 or 3-0 at times. I was just making some guesses, I'm not wagering on this event. Not concerned with the H2H in that matchup. Petrova is in the form of her life and Mauresmo's shoulder is still hurting, she said it's at 60% herself and she's having great difficulty serving, but who really knows with these players? Is she here to compete hard for that #1 ranking or did she come, because of the big money she's getting for playing there?

Justine coming off a rather long layoff as well, but I don't rate Hingis much against top tier players. I can see JHH throwing in a few UEs if she's not prepared and gifting a set to Marti, but that's unlikely in my eyes.

Masha's game is too one dimensional for my liking. If the other girls were healthy and in match shape, she would stand little chance.

Good call on Petrova. I didn't think she looked that great but Mauresmo looked terrible. Hope you won some money. I don't know why I keep taking Mauresmo. I can't win on this bitch. She's cost me so much money. Whenever I have money on her...she loses. Whenever I have money on her opponent...she wins. I should just stay away from her.
