We should start a league with tiers, take 1 guy from each for 4 total guys

Point of this thread was three fold.
1) Get some golf discussion going
2) Get golf out of other sports (who the fukk goes there anyway)
3) Needed to post something for my extra point.

And I'll definitely run some kind of contest for the majors, those are always fun to play in.

I'd play in a tiered program for points each week. You could tier it by world rankings or whatever tiers yahoo uses

I was looking around and couldn't really find what site hosted weekly tiered contests. ESPN seemed to only have it for the majors.

I had Bud Cauley for $20, he played well but just didn't go low enough the first two days to really be a threat. I'll also ask some of the guys on my golf team, I know they have a yearlong fantasy golf thing some of them do, I'll try and find out what it is.

Yahoo groups it into 3 groups, A, B, and C. You pick 8 golfers a week, 2 from A, 4 from B, and 2 from C.
The A group has 41 total golfers, the B group has 80, and C has well over 200. Doesnt look like they are fully grouped into skill level as luke donald is in group b and Fowler is in C

Luke has been struggling. And Fowler isn't anything special, but group C does seem awfully low. Luke relies too much on his putting, and keeping up his '10-'11 putting stats just isn't possible. He was number 1 on tour in strokes gained on the greens both years, completely unheard of.

And good find, if we get a few others to play it, lets get it going. I don't care how many point buy-in, but lets at least make it worthwhile if its going to be all season.

Well i was thinking of using their lists to make my own where out of 4 lists you get one in each and play each weekend. Might get more players
