Observations From The Sportsbook
So my local is Bet Rivers in Des Plaines. Like most books if you hang out long enough, you get to know some interesting characters. Going to detail a few here.
First off, there's a midget that's here every day. Dwarf, little person, whatever. A midget. And he always has a roll of 100s. Not sure if he's just rich or a pro gambler or maybe just gives handies in the bathroom. Anyway he is surly as fukk and is constantly drunk and swearing at people. It's quite amusing to watch, especially if he's losing because it's really hard for him to get off the barstool
Then there's these twins. Jeff and Chris. You literally cannot tell them apart. They are fat in a rather "round" Humpty Dumpty type way and have gray hair. Pretty nice guys but just not something you see all the time.
And then there's the old timers. In there with canes and shit, can barely walk, with a 10 team parlay in their hands. Super depressing. That's me one day I say
