I hope am not breaking rules here but I thought it was Interesting to mention that there is a racebook sports-1 that pays a % as a profit if the horse you chose to win place or show actually comes in Dead Last. I find this very interesting as I never seen this before anywhere else.

Even if your horse finishes last, you'll still be in the hole for the race, a little less but still there.

Dead last

I think the percentage its around 15 0r 20 percent and may not amount to much to allot of people but if I have 25 across and one of those horses comes in dead last I get my my 25 back plus a percentage, now it may not be much but a couple of bucks can get me another shot and get me back on my feet.
