IMO The Rebel at Oaklawn in two weeks is the Derby prep to watch.

Possibles are

Strong Mandate,
Tapiture,
Kobes Back,
Bayern,
Honor Code,
Ride On Curlin

Yeah that's a good group for sure although admittedly I can't see
Ride on Curlin cause he's not one of the 23 in the KDFP.. If I had to
pick one of those I'd go with Kobe's Back. Cash Call Futurity obvious
toss and has the right running style. According to my sire ratings Flatter
a good 10f sire (being an AP Indy no surprise) and Well Decorated's (dam sire)
tend to get better as older horses. The get better as older horse rating
is probably assigned to less than 5% of the few thousand sires in there

GP R7 #2 alley oop oop (15-1)can run fresh and feel he's capable at this level R8 #2 philomene (6-1)she has her sea legs from the first two vs better.. modest pedigree so think this is reasonable spot .. switch to Paco Lopez who rides well for Fawkes R9 #5 corinthiano (12-1) lot of the races he ran last year spring/summer would make him competitive here. Feel bad posts may have cost him a few times and breaks from the 5 hole this time.. trainer does well 1-2 month layoff GP R10 #6 when we act (3-1)like the forward progress with her since switch to grass.. gets off the rail so hopefully can sit a nice trip from post 6

ran my slow fade line out of a good figure race last and drops a notch to 6250 coming back in a week.. Did that exact same move 2 back and won @ 12-1..If that race were 5.5f like today's that win would have been even easier

should be tough at this level. love the gradual fade lines last two against better. trainer having solid meet and good numbers across the board with what he's doing today

Don't love this race but think the Baffert duo and Sadler's will offer little value.. Gonna go 8-SCHOOLOFHARDROCKS.. Like the fact he was able to win first out at two turns that early. Lots of speed here to set up a late run and working sharp.. Hoffmans thinks enough of him to run in a spot like this might be saying some also

Saw the question you posed to str in his thread but figured I'd respond
in yours since you asked him. Didn't get drf today.. based on the fact
that Console ran strictly 6f sprints and then the race he did today at a mile
on the turf I would bet he comes back in a sprint next time. My guess is
this was a conditioner to have him fit for what he usually does
