Contest prep. I've signed up for a NTRA handicapping contest in Mid July. The format is a mythical $20 wps wager on the last six races at Hollywood park for two days. Starting with the third race I'll post what I would consider a contest play. Hopefully this practice will pay dividents down the road.

Hollywood Race 3 #6 Sorta Gold at 5/1

[thezbar]

Brave sun a longshot wins and pays $45.60 for two across the board. Sorta Gold finished third paying $3.80. As far as contest conditions that was a strong punch. But with this format the plan of attrack is to reach the 45.60 within the next three races. It pays to play longshots in these things . Hit and you have a BIG edge.

Thanks. I plan on focusing on Hollywood races for the next three days to get battle ready. I finished 20th out of 200 last July in the same contest. These things are as much decesion making contests as well as handicapping contests.

Race 5 Hollywood. Many directions to choice from! TVG is giving the #6 Sir bell a big push. The 4+5 are tempting longshots. I'll land on #3 man to man at 9/2

Man to Man finishes second as the 5 win and is worth $32.00 across the board.
