    Florida Derby
I have been argueing with Purloff and Ue over Dialed In. They say poop. I say Zito did exactly ehat he
should do. Hold that horse and do what he,s done before, do 1/8 of a mile blazing! Thoughts?

What point are they arguing? You are right on the money. Zito has won this race two years in a row and is making a fortune making the right decisions with the right horses. But like someone pointed out in a thread, few have heard about icebox much since he won the florida last year and came in second at the Kentucky derby.

Zitos horses have come in strong from the back, he did it with icebox who closed in from last place and Zito did it with Dialed in january at gulfstream, I couldnt believe dialed in won that one miler in January.

Too much time off for class horses.

By the time the Kentucky comes around, its hard to size up these previous derbies. I really have no idea who is the dominant horse in the Kentucky derby from these races.

The Fla Derby did not change my outlook on this years 3yo's and I don't know if that is good or bad. Shackleford was the only noteworthy mention...race set up perfectly for Dialed In and he did as expected. Would like to spot something out there that could give Uncle mo a challenge but who is that colt?

I still have my doubts about Uncle Mo going a mile and a quarter and dominating the way he has. It should be interesting to see how he does on a sloppy track if it rains at aqueduct this weekend but I still don't think we are going to have a clearer picture after this weekend in my opinion. Premier pegasus races this weekend in california , if I am not mistaken, as well.

The Factor races at oaklawn on the 16th, I am looking forward to seeing how he does.

As far as Derby goes, I can't wait to see PPegasus in SADby but The Factor is too brilliant for my liking. He might win at 9f against good competition but I can't see him carrying 10f. War Emblem is the only colt in recent times that wired a field and he was not an early speed runner like The Factor or Dutrow's horse (forget name). Every year there are those early speed types that too many cappers get behind (Keyed Entry, High Limit, SongandaPrayer come to mind) and it is too damn hard to wire a field as a 3yo going 10f.
I would also like to see UncleMo in mud - you never know, might give hope to others if Derby comes up muddy.

Flashpoint was Dutrew horse I was thinking of.
