NYRA may begin talks on synthetic surfaces
In this article it talks about NYRA may be considering going to synthetic surfaces this is still in its infancy but nyra has one of the safest dirt surfaces probably in the world in the Aqueduct inner track that can be raced on all year even in the harsh northeast. NYRA maybe feeling some pressure as the other major racing region in the country. Still alot of this is speculation but I feel this could definetly ruin some of these tracks as New York and california circuit have the most money flowing in there pools consistently. I may consider a move to harness racing if this happens http://www.saratogian.com/WebApp/ap...Story_200 7567

I don't know anything about harness racing so will continue to play Thoroughbreds. If they made CD go to synthetic because of what happend at the Derby they would ruin the track and tradition.
