Trainer Peter Miller might be having a change of heart regarding COMMA TO THE TOP (Bwana Charlie), telling Daily Racing Form Sunday that the gelding could still end up contesting the Kentucky Derby (G1) despite his earlier statements to the contrary. Comma to the Top was recently withdrawn from the third and final pool of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager when Miller revealed his intentions to skip the Run for the Roses.
Yet Miller re-opened the Kentucky Derby door less than 24 hours later, and cited the shocking upset of Uncle Mo (Indian Charlie) in Saturday's Wood Memorial (G1) as a contributing factor. "The way he ran, and after Uncle Mo's loss and everything else, I think we may need to re-evaluate and keep our options open," Miller told the DRF. "I'll discuss it with the owners. He looked super, and he ate up. He was bouncing around this morning, and he jogged down the road like a Marine."...
