Friday 2/25 Turf Racing Picks

Looking at all turf races from around the country that are not maiden events.That leaves 9 races with 8 of them being 1 mile or more and 1 being a 5 furlong dash.


All races are a 3 horse exacta box or in some cases(**) a key exacta box...i.e 1/7,3 and a W/P on top horse

If any races are taken off the turf disregard picks

Thx zebra...Turf races are usually where I find myself very confident with a longshots chances to finish top 2.Surprisingly today I didn't find many bombs and a few of the races I chalked out.

Races 9 and 10 at Gulfstream seem like the best races to go for the big one

will proly play the Gulfstream and Tampa. Did you see that Gulfstream is going to ask for year round racing?

Yeah they are in a war with Calder for dates.I like Gulfstream better but because Calder's surface is so deep and unique it offers fantastic betting opportunities when horses that appear off form when running at a different track return to Calder when they have showed a liking to the surface in the past.

im heading to chester (cause parx is dark today) for some good ol degenerate action. hoping they dont can freehold as its the only standardbred track open this afternoon. ill bet those t-bred turf races you listed as i agree: they are the best chance at longshots. and if all else fails: (cancell freehold) ill be taking in the new dancers up at the bar in the casino. win/win situation.

that may be the best part. they dont strip so they dont collect the dolla's. sometimes its better if they leave their (skantily clad) clothes on(if ya know what i mean. ie: banana )

Tampa race 5 going to use 4 on top aswell also putting 3 in underneath

Vanquisher looks tough that race but if Union Bowman can transfer that last race on dirt over to turf it should be competitive.

r3- like the way the 9 took to the gp turf keeps jock may be a bit over his head in this could hit board. good betting race going to play it might put the 8 underneath.

r5 going to play this a little different.

r7- like the jock change on the 4 to castellano

r9 another good betting race. will make a play here proly use the 7 somewhere on the cutback

r10 will proly toss a few underneath

I like union bowman. Vanquisher looks beatable here looks to be out of form jock change puts him right back in front.

I looked at the 9 in the 3rd but trainer does horrible 1st race after trainer switch.
Race 5 I like Ginny G a lot but don't know what kind of price I'm going to get.Think it will be much less than the 6-1 ML.

GP race 5 4 had some trouble in the stretch

The 1 broke last from the rail in a 10 horse field which is a deathwish.Still made a nice run though to get beat by only a few lengths.Hoping that will get me a better price next time as most people will just see it as a 5th or 6th place finish.

It was 2-9-11-12 in the 1st 4 positions all the way around the track until the 1 and 4(the 2 favorites) came storming by in late stretch to spoil the fun.

I put the wrong bomb on top in rc10 Gp. Will play some delta and charles town maybe some sam houston tonight then on to tomorrow.
