O.K. But that kind of takes some of the fun out of this. I'll get the rest of my picks in before race two.

It would be unfair to the people that don't have access to a live tote board if we did race by race .Especially in maiden races.

Also when they run the big contests for the derby,breeders cup,etc...you can't edit your posts.They disable the edit option for the thread.You can here so it would be hard to make sure all the picks were done before post time and not any ninja edits where it doesn't even show edit at the bottom of the post.

I understand the format and what you say makes sense. The editing and past posting issues are eliminated with the early posting of the selections. I have to adjust my thinking to participate in this. The main thing for me is I have to see the animals first before I choose my final selections for betting. I keep my mind open till then. Even so I can yield some future benefits by this format. In a way this is like being a public handicapper with a newspaper deadline. I got lucky with the seven! I'd been chalky to that point and was looking for a price in the race.
