    Santa Anita racing surface
I watched another track record fall Monday in the feature race. In Summation goes in six and change while running down my play in the race. This is crazy. I can think of many sprinters that would be favored over In Summation in a six furlong race.
I quess you just have to factor this situation as abnormal and adjust accordingly. I don't see how ruuning this fast is good for horses in the long term

no but good for cappers sometimes.Dont know how the surface is going to be when they finaly fix it.I they added something to it to speed it up and that is why it will not drain properly and more than likely be cancelled on Millions day and that realy sucks

I think there should be seperate records for Dirt and Cushion.

Agree! Speed horses are hard to catch on the new surface.

The trend on cushion or (poly) for speed horses is just at SA recently since the last rain, the other tracks have not had a speed bias like SA

Beyers have been performed better than I expected. But yeah the new surfaces have really put a wrench into things.

I agree that the track condition has helped with handicapping some of the race cards. Also some days at hollywood after rain the track would become speed favoring. The cushion track is at least playable, I've yet to figure out the polytrack at del mar and keenland.
