it's a track like this that show how dumb jockeys really are.. tight turn 4 furlong races and they rarely ever make a effort to save ground..

There's a reason many take this time off in CA. Fun track to watch, but if you don't make A LOT of adjustments, unwinnable to bet. You can win 5 races here in a day and make no reasonable money. Other CA fairs are far better bets, and that's still not saying much with the bad takeout rate at fairs.

the turns are so tight but getting stuck on the rail with such a short stretch is worst then getting shifted 3-4 wide with clear running room

get all the info you can from professor gordon jones & brad free. they give uncanny insight to the scenario of each race,and,ther're on the money quite often.

With the dirt surface and turns its a trip handicappers best friend. I don't care for the slow pace and bunching up at the eight pole that's so common with the rubber surfaces. You get more random results.

Adjust your hadicapping and you'll do just fine. Its not like other tracks that you might play and you can't play it the same way.

Big Cal trainers must LOVE this track. They give the majority of their barn a rest & throw in a good front runner from Del Mar with Pedroza at 1/9 in the larger purse races. FREE pay day from Fairplex

Its fun to go to the fair there when they have races...just don't wander off into the city as Pomona is a complete shithole. The racing is terrible though because the fields are so short in SoCal now. You used to be able to get some huge prices at Fairplex but now you have a 6 horse field with a 3/5 and a 6/5 with the biggest dog in the field at 15-1. Although the bettors there still suck...Subpoena the Dress was 21-1 last week when she should have been 4/5.

I'm not sure any horse trained by Paul Schiewe should be 4-5 as his horses sure don't win many races.

I can't stand Fairplex..Favorites are winning at a 49% clip. Average winning odds are 3.67-1..If you like to cash a lot of tickets that don't pay much. This is the track for you. I don't bet favorites to win and won't chase small exacta payoffs. I just looked up to see when fairplex closes. Today is the last day.
