Record for the lowest DD payoff in jeapordy today?
At the Humboldt County Fair today, the first 2 races feature a 1/9 and 3/5 m/l mules that have won a combined 45 of their 54 races, and a total of TWO off the board finishes. Could pay about $2.40 for the DD

I was a bit short, it paid $2.60. Of course the mule in the second paid $3.20 straight

Or avoid the races outright. Mules are fun/funny to watch, obnoxious to bet on most of the time.

That is too funny. I wonder why the second animal was let go at such an apparent huge overlay!
I don't think I have ever seen mules race.
Joe.

They run a bit slower than t-breds, but at mostly QH distances.

It might have come from one $500-1000 DD wager cold on the two mules. Honestly, someone could have well bet the race offshore and the shop decided to throw it into the pools. The 2nd mule could well have been $3.20 for lots of reasons, including someone with a large wager deciding to try another mule. At Ferndale, you can move the tote with less money than the other fairs.
