Pilgrims Toner set record in last start @ Pocono and was 2 ticks off today on 1/2 mile track. Heard Shannon Chester capper say she was picking Toner as well but did mention a aged 7 yr old who also raced a sub 1:50 was the main competion. Guess who won! I think 7 yr olds are in their prime! Tough loss but did expect ASH above to lose after Pierce won the previous and said in interview after previous race " I'll be talking with you after next race also" Both our plays didn't close?
A Saturday night dominated by longshots yielded a $50,847 payday for one lucky bettor who took down the entire Metro 6 Shooter pool. Comprised of four races at the Meadowlands (four through seven) and two at Yonkers (five and seven), the winning 6-of-6 sequence was (9-5-5-6-2-4).
There were 24 tickets with 5-of-6 correct, which returned $706.20. The Metro 6 Shooter began with $30,000 added to the net pool, while another $47,247 was wagered into the pool.
The Metro 6 Shooter returns next Saturday with another $30,000 being added to the net pool before wagering.
