Going to be some great racing Saturday. 13 races and IMO some great opportunities at some price horses. I am currently looking at the PPs.

#8Hey JBEX,
The filly looks tough but I am going to try to beat her hoping one of these guys has improved since their last start and she just may have peaked, because if she takes a step forward she will be mighty hard to beat. Take a look at Cyberknife's last effort. It is approx. 10 lengths faster than the Lecomte run in Janurary. They took the blinkers off for this last race and looks like he may have appreciated the change. Love his sire. He represents his Momma as her 3rd foal with the first 2 being fillies out of Kitten's Joy not showing much. If he is close to that ML @ post I am intrigued.Comment -

#9with you on him pigpen
I see the 10 lengths (2 seconds) you're talking about ..the only knock I have on that is according to the brisnets factoring in the track surface it's only 2-3 lengths. as you know lots of different figure makers and they often disagree by more than a little..have to stay with the one's I use but as always they may be off
for me this is an expensive plus horse ..meaning what they paid was a lot for the specs and this includes that he was bought for that big price as a yearling giving it more weight..you mentioned the first two foals by kitten's joy were nothing special..I feel this is still useful information as from the start there were big expectations for this horse
maybe the blinkers and possibly up close to a fast pace (at least according to brisnet) did him in 2 back but I like how he rebounded in his last start
best trainer in the race by a lot .. one amazing thing about brad cox is his roi's are extremely good in spite of the fact that everybody knows about him .. he wins at a very high % and provides a lot of value..has trained really well since coming off that last win
I think he will go off around mlComment -

#10The famous M C Hammer gaffe, putting $60,000 to win last minute on his horse making my $200 win bet worth $380 instead of $580, from 8/5 to 4/5 on the final flash.

remember you told me about that and actually think I recall that myself.. "lite lite" I'm guessing was the horse but going to see if Google sheds any "light" on it

#16The #5 Un Ojo gets no respect it seems, as only 1 start has he been under 5-1. He keeps hitting the board at outrageous prices IMO. Reminds me of my favorite Doc Jocoy in the 70's cashing at good odds many times no matter the class of race. I have a share of Chasing Time but even though he may improve hopefully, he's a bit slow, but still growing. It's a fun ride trying to make it to the Derby. May they all have a safe trip. I'll take the 4 and 5 and root for Chasing Time to get the show dough. Enjoy.Comment -

#35Hey BOA12!!!!!
I am going to date myself here but I have been going down to Oaklawn since the early 80s. I do not go as much and play at home through the ADWs. Do not know of any OTB other than the 3 casinos (West Memphis, Pine Bluff, Oaklawn).
I enjoy interacting with this bunch here. I see a wealth of knowledge and experience in this sub form.
I wanted to post this yesterday but did not get it up. I went back 20 years ago and looked at the card on Arkansas Derby Day. They actually had a $5000 claimer on the list of races offered. My how far this little hick track has come. Yesterday's racing was a treat for horse players.
Good luck today. I may take a look at some of today's action and will drop in on the members posts here and observe what you guys are playing.Comment
