Anyone else been riding the DeShawn Parker Money Train at Mountaineer these past couple of days? He was on fire last night - and has won the first two tonight ... the man is getting any and all horses home .. even those with just half a chance ...

Race 5 looks like its got half a chance ... closers have been taking the spoils so far though - and this horse does not close well ... ? I'll probably swerve it ... Parker on favorite though is HOT.

That's funny - I happened to see Will Rogers on TVG for the first time ever today.
It's a decent betting track - just have to be careful not to move the small pools.

Just got back from Will Rogers - nice track ... nice horses ... i'll be back there next week for sure ... hit a couple of $24 exacta's and a $40 exacta ... ($40 one shocked the shit out of me as the 3/2 favorite won the race) couple of my single bankers both came home for the win too .... left the track about even .... or slightly up on the day .... I'll be going back next week for sure ....

Upper level indoor (air conditioned) grandstand with bar/food service and TV on each table.
Main grandstand easily accessible .... benches/patio furniture downstairs/outside.

Couple of concession booths with regular hotdog/pretzel/popcorn etc .... prices very reasonable.
Couple of refreshment stands ...

Plenty of cashiers to place your wager outside ... lots of access to the large indoor racebook room(s) one smoking - one non-smoking where you can simulcast on all tracks racing that day ...

Lots of car park space ... free entry to racetrack ... free drinks available in the small casino .... lots of toilet facilities ...

Overall very enjoyable day out .... not sure how it would be on a Saturday ... probably a little too busy for me .... but the Monday/Tuesday/Weds meetings will get lots of play from me over the next few weeks I would imagine .. much better facilities than those available at the Tulsa racetrack (Fair Meadows) All staff/security I spoke with were very friendly/helpful.

What the hell was that disqualification in race six at Mountaineer all about .... ?
Is Parker blowing the stewards ?
The "bump" did not happen until two steps from the line ... no way parker gets up to win - sure by all means give the jockey of the #5 a hefty fine for dangerous riding .. but a f'king DQ ? !!! If it hadn't been Parker making the objection they wouldn't have even looked at the replay ...
