i’ll start us off

Bet a pick three got the first two legs at ok odds then I had coverage of seven out of 10 horses. And of course 1 of the three horses I didn’t bet wins at 56-1.

Been there before and depending on how low the odds were and the payoff potential of the pk 3's, a small win bet at that point on the other three horses would have made it a little better.
Easy after the fact but do at least consider a two dollar win ticket on the bombs next time. Probably worth 6 bucks no not have to get upset in that spot. We've all been there.

I spent a week deciding whether or not to respond to this post. I presume you are young or at least new to gambling. Been doing this for 60 years now and survived. Ever hear of a shooting star? They're a dime a dozen. Long term survivor's listen to the above post by Mr STR.

If that's the worst beat you ever take you are a blessed being. I toyed with the ponies but primarily bet Greyhounds & Football but primarily Hounds FULL TIME until I was 36 (20 years). I could write a book on bad beats. The point is loser's dwell on misfortunes. Long Term winners/Survivors do as scribed above; they live to bet another day.

Best of luck but if you want to be doing this long term learn discipline and Money Management, And of course being able to pick a few winners here and there helps.
