I didn't play this horse last time, just watched the video replay and was impressed enough to write his name down for next out.

No. 5 Golden Wager. Last time for $10,000 claiming, he had a rough trip on the inside, and still came late to win up the rail at 5.5 furlongs.

They bump him to $12,500 today and stretch him to 6.5 furlongs. 4-1 on the morning line, and the field doesn't look that tough. Might score right back. Going to add No. 1 Wild Nekia for the exacta.

Golden Wager gets the perfect trip at 7-2 and looked like a winner on the turn, but he hung battling a 23-1 shot and was passed in the last few jumps by the 1 horse. Nice exacta of $38 made for nice score. Little playing money for Saturday's features.
