    RIP Bobby Frankel
    I love this story:

"One day in New York in the early 1960s he took $40 to the track, got on a roll by hitting the daily double, and by day's end made a successful $3,000 win bet on a 3-1 shot. He came home with $20,000. 'I put the money on my mother's bed,' he recalled in 2003. 'She thought I had robbed a bank.'"

Bobby Frankel, who rose from the streets of Brooklyn to become one of the most successful and respected trainers in the history of Thoroughbred racing, died early Monday morning at his home in Pacific Palisades, Calif., from complications of lymphoma.

One of the greatest horsemen to have ever lived. He's been battling for a while, but it is still sad to see him go. He loved his job and he loved the sport. Horse Racing needs more people like him.
