    Breeders Cup Saturday
I scored on the BC pick 5 yesterday, was a nice hit, but not a monster. Should I get back at it today? Saturday's are always tough. Best of luck today, I'll post intermittently here.

I'm best on turf but mostly play the horizontal wagers.

Yes, I would get back at it. I’m not sure how much you play per race, horizontals etc. but I definitely would play and make sure you still have a profit from yesterday after today. Nice hit and good luck today!

Thanks, played 3 early pick 5 tickets there, two with Arabian Knight and one against, so have 2 live pick 5 tickets going now:

      2,3 and
      2,3,12,14

in the next leg (race 2).

      Good luck!

Sorry SG I was playing in a BC contest today so did not have time to post on here

I did manage a 15th place spot out of 33 handicappers so decent spot for the crap day on my picks (had 2 winners malathaat and Flightline) but I was very close to breaking a profit on 2 wagers this weekend as I was down for both days but if I hit those 2 supers (R9 and R11 1 spot away) it would have been a great betting weekend indeed!

Congrats on the P5 yesterday hope you had one again today!

I hit the P6 ... one thing I always wonder is if a horse that I had in one leg (Magic Stripe in the 9th at 24-1, lost by a nostril) hits, what would the payout have been? I had a really good two days, that's 2 years in a row (I was at Del Mar last year).

Nice! How much were your tickets if you don't mind me asking?

The winning ticket (had 1) was $192 but I had (3) 5 out of 6s. I cashed on pick 5s but at a .50 clip and with Flightline as likely many people's single, the 5s didn't pay that much.

That is heart breaking. That photo goes your way and you are sitting on a huge ticket after the BBC. Still, nice job and I hope you made a profit. I did not have a good day at all. I had the Olympiad in the 2 hole in my tri behind the beast but could not manage to find the show horse.

Yes, and I had the super with Life is Good not hanging on for fourth ... damn. Fun to hit those sometimes even with a big fav on top.

If Stripe does it, what do you think? the $1 p6 paid 3k+ ... does that get over 10k? I bet it would have. A decent number of people probably had Malathaat (who was my top pick but the way Blue Stripe was training, I thought man I have to have this on all tickets at 20-1 or 30-1; went off at 24-1).

IMO the p6 would have paid well over 10K if Stripe wins. I know Nest was the favorite but knocking Malathatt out would have killed a number of tickets leaving you with a live ticket that contains the second longest shot in the race. Still a nice hit on your part. I should be ashamed about complaining when you missed a nice score by an inch or two.

he's 8x the odds of malathaat so that's usually how I figure it ($24k) ..however with the auto FL I think that multiple might be more like 5 or 6 .. imo over $15k easy ..nice hit !

There was this character at the casino OTB that was going wild during the stretch run of the Distaff rooting Blue Stripe home. He though he hit and I could not tell as I had the horse on the inside that ended up third so I was not watching the 1 on the outside. After they posted the result it was like he was not going to survive.

yes, thanks boys. I was rooting huge for him because I knew he had a shot and I did think he was going to win while in that stretch run ... but I was happy to get place and show, and to still be live knowing that Malathaat was my top pick and it wasn't Nest, or Clairiere inside. I've lost too many times by a nose blowing up an entire ticket to complain that much, I had both big closers there right in position 1-2
