    Curlin Stakes (Saratoga Friday)
    Curlin Stakes:

    #1 Western River (8-1)

I found an interesting horse here that may elect to go to the Jim Dandy tomorrow which is a tall order, if he goes today I am going to take a long look at his odds close to post. He is a full brother to Creator. He only sold for 30k but the son of Tapit may be coming around to figuring out what is going on.

I watched his last two races and in the Peter Pan he stumbled at the start and went wide but he was running in the end. His last effort was at 1½ miles in June at Churchill Downs in what amounted to a paid workout. He looked good. Rudy Brisset has saddled 3 horses this Saratoga meet and 2 were winners. Santana has been aboard this colt for both of his victories so he knows him. Tell me what you guys think.

I think he's interesting pigpen..seems the blinkers really helped him beginning in his 3rd start although I do feel he had a legitimate excuse in start 2 being behind a ridiculously slow pace..think the peter pan could be excused for the stumble, being behind another extremely slow pace and running on a sealed track that day..churchill downs
just took care of business at 1 1/2 miles and might carry some good conditioning forward from that effort..wasn't closing into any fast paces (by bris figs) so that makes them more legitimate efforts imo

think creative minister going to be tough but I like yours at a price

I think he will stay close to the ML. There are some in this race that look as good or better on paper (IMO). I too hope that 1½ mile workout is what the doc ordered and he will respond. If he runs in the Jim Dandy I am going to drop him in between all these bears in the tri. Thanks for the response and GL!!!!

Terrible job on my part. I actually thought this guy had a shot until they sprung the gate. Apologies to anyone that might have tailed.
