I like the hurdle races in general.. something different
R1 #5 zanzi win (15-1) jumps
caught 2 monsters in his first two attempts jumping here last year.. the favorite in this race 1st time who won by 38 lengths.. he actually finished 4th of 8 and 42 lengths behind.. next race he finished 2nd in a 7 horse field but lost by 33 lengths.. nice introduction to the hurdles lol.. it gets better as he wins his 3rd race in a listed stakes race with a good purse beating 8 other horses.. although he did lose by a significant margin to #7 last race off a long layoff (and to be fair that one was also off a long layoff) he ran the type of line to suggest he could improve 2nd out, similar to what he did working up to his first win.. finishing well behind the 7 and getting destroyed by the 4-5 favorite #2 snap decision in his initial attempt value will be there.. excellent jump jock and trainer excels 2nd off a layoff
R3 #6 blewitt (2-1)
first off #1 cross border (1-2).. I think this one's best efforts come in turf marathons which this isn't.. mine tries turf for the first time and is by uncle mo an above average turf sire.. dirt form is excellent.. tactically can either go for the lead or press on the outside.. bottomline a 5 horse field when you toss the mto and not a great opportunity
R4 #5 macho jack (3-1)
R5 #2 crack shot (4-1)
R7 #4 two cent tootsie (6-1) 3WP
R7 #11 mia bea star (30-1) 2W
R9 #5 central perk (4-1)6W 2P
delaware
R2 #6 imagine legend (10-1)
R6 #4 aiken on tap (20-1)
admittedly i've been wrong about these enough but strongly disagree with this ml
R8 #6 aldo's kitten (10-1)
normally wouldn't like a horse breaking it's maiden in a claiming sprint and then stretching out on the turf..however this is the shortest distance you can go two turns on the turf* and the pedigree* outstanding for the turf ..trainer and jock having a great meet and the former solid 2nd off the layoff
