Australian T Bred TRacks - Question
I tried to find the answer to this question, but google sent me here

What is the difference in the Aussie tracks labeled A,B,C? Is there a difference in class?

    Thanks

I have always wondered about this also and class makes the most sense but have not been able to find anything on letter designations..there are 360 racetracks in Australia and thought this was informative about some of the major ones in the big cities

      It's basically A = Metropolitan (in a city), B = Provincial (tracks close to cities) and C = Country/Rural race tracks.

Melbourne As are Flemingotn, Caulfield & Moonee Valley
Sydney As are Randwick, Rosehill, Canturbury & Warwick Farm
Brisbane As are Doomben & Eagle Farm
      Adelaide is Morphetville
      Perth is Ascot

Wednesday and Saturday are the days best quality horses run.

do the A tracks in each city run like a circuit and not at the same time?

Yes. You'll usually have 1 A track from each city running every Saturday and Wednesday.

Wednesday in Sydney is either Warwick Farm or Canterbury usually. And Saturday is Rosehill or Randwick.

If Brisbane has Doomben on a Wednesday, It'll usually be Eagle Farm on Satuday.

Melbourne has Caulfield and Flemingtom usually alternating Saturdays.

That routine gets interrupted by big B track events semi regularly.

thanks optional.. besides hong kong was suggesting maybe harthebar look at that for trip capping.. I'd like to try their races but from what I've seen no points of call (or maybe just 1)in their pp's.. guess there's other ways but that's a major part of the process for me.. could manage without speed figures

Thanks Opti! Appreciate it. I have been playing around with some Aussie tracks and trying to get more info to add to my dartboard.

Melbourne also has Sandown as a metropolitan track I believe.

And Moonee Valley often has Friday night racing our time so that’d be late Thursday for those on the northern hemisphere

besides down loading the free programs that are excellent at any USA ADW site like TVG make sure you are not basing wagers on USA tote action. ALWAYS look at sites like https://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing or if you have AGENT account of betfair check that for odds. USA tote prices are off sometimes alot esp early in wagering. Also if you are making big place-show bets on the chalks use fixed odds via bet fair or agent as most heavy chalk show bets will pay the min of 1.05 in USA Tote vs the fixed odds many times get paid 1.5 or more...They do a good job pre race too going through the top contenders on the live feed
