saratoga
everything contingent on a good or fast track and racing being run on the turf
R1 #3 go poke the bear (8-1)
even effort back of the pack behind a very slow pace is a setup I like for a marathon.. the efforts in his last two as unimpressive as they look (more the one two back than 3 back) would make him tough in this field
R2 #7 fridaybeers (6-1)
R3 #1 universal payday (6-1)
same trainer (michael trombetta) who popped the $71 firster yesterday but I think this horse stands on her own merits.. the race at penn last out produced solid #'s.. been training steadily at fair hill training center leading up which supposedly good for getting them very fit.. rail an edge at saratoga going two turns
R4 #4 pick up the phone (6-1)
little surprised at the ml here and I think the favorite (#2) dropping to 25k is a little concerning
R5 #3 fast gordon (10-1)
cost an extraordinary amount for the pedigree.. had no shot in her debut behind a ridiculously slow pace and linda rice exceptional with 2nd timers.. she started off the meet big yesterday with two winners
R5 #6 open lengths (10-1)
another fts whose a very expensive relative horse and by the same sire as the debut winner yesterday.. this time however going two turns on the turf.. trainer having a career year and is solid in many applicable categories including debuters.. love the optimistic name
2 horses R5
R6 #4 giant shoes (6-1)
R10 #14 cold hard cash (5-2) know main @ 7f

R3 #6 into the sunrise (7-2)
