the parallel's on mine and #4 channel island (6-1.. same) are very interesting.. both 4yo's by the sire english channel and bred by the same breeder.. other was claimed 9 starts back for $40k and has earned about $100k since.. mine stilled owned by the breeder.. both are out of very productive dams.. very nice horses that didn't quite live up to pedigree expectations but will probably be solid claimers for many years to come if they stay healthy
also relevant both are running second off a long layoff (both trainers excellent at this) and exiting the same race where they ran very similar lines and finished a length apart.. a race they both probably needed.. think mine more suited to this distance than the other (based on what he's done) and that makes sense as my dam sire is stamina oriented but the other's (silver hawk who's an oldie) is extreme stamina (marathon turf) like you rarely see anymore
