My First Plays Ever in Horse Racing
Lost a lot of money over the past 2 days so I'm going to see if I can lose some more on a sport I know nothing about.

Pioneer of the Nile to win +225 1u
Pioneer of the Nile top 2 -150 1.5u

If you took those odds, quite frankly, you deserve to lose. PON is 6-1 right now on track and a place bet will pay far far more than the $3.00 you're getting. Who offered these absurd odds?

GL to you, but the odds you took are not very good.

So if you bet say $20 wager on POTN, you got a total of $30.

Had you bet on track, that would have paid you $84.

You see my point, I hope.

I get what you are saying. Your numbers are a little off though. A $20 wager at +225 would win $45. I wasn't really taking the whole thing seriously. The way I saw it I was just paying money to make it more entertaining. I don't think I will be wagering on a sport anymore that seems fixed to me though. A 50 to 1 horse passes half the field like they aren't even moving after getting squezed right at the start?

I was talking about your top 2 wager. A $20 wager would have paid $30 instead of $84. Also, your win bet would have paid $45, on track that $20 would have paid at least $175. The game is hard enough to beat with full odds, you took the worsy odds I can remember seeing.

My pay off was actually much worse than you thought if you were talking about the top 2. $20 on -150 wins $13.33. Like I said I get your point. Wasn't really worried about it. I'm not gonna search out a good book for 1 bet a year. I broke even anyways so it's like it never even happened.
