R5 #10 Springledge 5/1
Has won 4 out of 11 races at this distance. Patrick Husbands is once again aboard. Patrick also rode the #6 horse in a strong effort earlier this season but elected to take the mount on Springledge in this spot. Should be able to get to the front uncontested and dictate the pace of the race. Also is up largely against horses that are coming off of the winter layoff. Springledge raced on the 18th going the same distance, had a tough speed duel and faded down the stretch. Is also dropping in class from a 12.5k claimer and is now going for a tag of 8k.
the #6 Wishart is the best of the rest here, ran strong in his first race of the year nearly getting up for the win. Is going an extra 2 furlongs here which will be helpful. However as long as another horse doesn't decide to push the pace with the #10 probably won't be able to catch her.
Will wait until closer to post time to determine wagers based on how the tote board reads.
