Yup, between Del Mar and Saratoga I love end of July and August. The timing is perfect, I Can play Saratoga in the morning and Del Mar in the afternoon.

That's why you often see long shots, based in odds, who are actually in great form and then the faves often are overbet.

Can't wait.The only gripe I have is that powerhouses like Pletcher and C Brown point for this meet and it gets tiring watching their short price after short price romp.Have to consider just about everyone of their horses live.

As for opening day Pletcher probably wins the first baby race with either Stopchargingmaria or Our Amazing Rose.Whichever he decides to run as Johnny V is named on both.

Then in the 4th its going to be an interesting battle between Hessonite and Shakeira but won't pay much.

Souper Speedy looks tough in the James Marvin(8th) also.

Other than those 3 races the card looks great for betting.

Haven't got through the tougher races yet as all but one of the turf races has 16 entered including AEs and MTOs.

They didn't even draw posts yet or make the morning line but if Sunbio is a price in the 10th I'm all over it.Has to be an OK price with a full gate.

good luck guys i will be missing opening day because of my heart surgery on thursday hopefully, i can resume saratoga the 2nd week got a place waiting for me at the spa to stay at i usually do about 3 weeks there off and on only couple hours away

Del Mar= Bejarano, Talamo and for the Occasional price Espinosa.

Saratoga a bit more competition Jock wise but watch for Castellano, Rosario and for the occasional price Lezcano.

Stick with these and you will do fine. GL

C Brown has been good over the past for years (I know overall as well) but particularly at SPA.

I believe Rosario's main circuit this summer will be Saratoga. DRF just posted on profile on him possibly being the dominant SPA Rider.

Yeah that was the point.I was saying those three races were going to be hard to beat the favorites but all the other races appear playable.Or if anyone needs a single somewhere my opinion would be one of those three.

I wrote that before they drew the posts and set the morning line.The only pick I liked that I thought would be playable was Sunbio in the night cap but they made him the 5/2 ml fave.Now I'll look again because 5/2 seems too short imo.

He's definitely going to be at The Spa for this meet. The thing with Joel is that his agent Ron Anderson has hooked him up with basically every solid barn out there. Also, now with Ken Ramsey bringing more of his charges upstate going after the owner's title, that will help Joel even more, as he will be Ken's go to guy. I think Castellano will win the meet but Joel will give him a good run for the top prize. Johnny V will obviously get his fair share of winners riding 1st call for Todd Pletcher. It's going to be a great meet as always gentlemen....good luck to you all and let's get some winners home.
