I have been handicapping races for some time but only small wagers. I am just wondering from a big bettors perspective, how much information would you like to have when making a bet and how much of that information do you actually use? I know there are some people that only look at speed figures and who is training the horses. Plus, there is information out there like shoes the horse is wearing or (in Australia) if the horse has its tongue tied, or shadow roll over its nose for the first time...do these things REALLY matter, if it doesn't would you still like the information available or is it just more space on the page? I guess what I am trying to ask is should I be looking at these things as well, how much should it impact my bets?
