    NHL Friday :
We have seen a 20 cents line move toward Ottawa for their matchup with Anaheim mainly because J.S. Giguère is not starting for Anaheim. Jonas Hiller is reliable backup, he won his share of games last year with 2.06 GAA and .927 save %. Ducks got back in the win colomn last game with ugly win in SO without their star player Ryan Getzlaf. Just the kind of win which can get a team going. Sens had their shares of problems with two mediocre hard working teams (Boston, Florida) in their last two games. They face another hard working team tonight and with better talent. Value here with the Ducks.

    Anaheim (+131)

The Rangers are getting near 70 % of the action in their clash with Columbus. The line is bearly holding at some books and dipping at some places. You can get + money with the Blue Jackets at some places. I see this game as pickem. Taking the good price and value with home team.

    Columbus (+110)

Well, San Jose has been on fire. However, Philly has exposed some holes in the Sharks game in the last two contests of San Jose. Sharks have allowed 14 goals in their last 3 games. Maybe the team is getting a bit too comfortable. Florida on the other hand is putting very good effort in most games but falling shorts too often because of lack of scoring. Panthers defense and goaltending came alive in their last 3 games. Tomas Vokoun showing some greatness since a terrible game on oct. 16 th. You can call this game a "pepto bismol" pick since 80 % of the action is on the mighty Sharks. Florida is not getting much respect this year, bettors thinking they have no offense. It usually take guts to play this kind of game because it's not easy to bet against an elite team specially with a team with a suspect offense. Panthers can use defense, speed, energy and in your face hockey to give the Sharks some trouble. Joe Thornton playing through a groin injury.

      Florida (+145)

NHL bettors have jumped into the Blues bandwagon, thanks to a Blues strong start. You have over 80 % of the action on St-Louis tonight. The LA Kings playing the big underdog role as a visitor. Los Angeles is hitting the road following a decent home stand. The Kings were regarded as one of the worst NHL team at the start of the season and it's looking like it's still the case in the oddsmakers mind. However, if you had the chance to see LA play you might have a different view. Los Angeles played two tough contests against the Sharks, won against Anaheim and Carolina. They also lost a close game in their last game with Colorado. The Kings are not as bad as most bettors think. Terry Murray is a veteran coach very happy to be back in the NHL and he gets his team ready. You get good value with Los Angeles, St-Louis is getting a lot of respect with this line.

        Los Angeles (+156)
