    NHL Thursday :
It's notorious that Pittsburgh has a thin blue line with Sergei Gonchar and Ryan Whitney out. The Pens will also be without another D-man tonight, big man and PK specialist Hal Gill will sit tonight. You have another 20 minutes of solid D to replace tonight. Marc-Andre Fleury has a 3.25 GAA in 5 games against Carolina. The Canes have been able to put some pucks in the net this year. Carolina in a good spot to score at least 3 here.

    Carolina (over 2 1/2 goals -102)

Toronto have been a solid working team this year. They have played some good teams tough all the way to the wire. Boston has played a lot of hockey lately, fourth game in six nights in 4 different cities including two straight overtime games. You have the Leafs in a good spot here, they should have a little more legs than Boston tonight. Good value with Toronto. You have more than 75 % of the action on Boston but line holding or dipping. You have some big money going on Toronto.

    Toronto (+175)

Dallas is looking for answers right now specially with their blue line. Goaltending has been also supect with Marty Turco posting an alarming .841 save %. Chemistry of the team is not there yet with some new faces. Third game and four nights, fourth in six days and second of back to back in a traveling situation for the Stars. Isles will be fresher, they might be a bit rusty in the first period since their last game was on oct. 18, but expect more energy most of the night from New York. Rick Dipietro has 1.33 GAA with a SO in 3 games (2 wins, 1 overtime loss), outstanding .957 save % against Dallas. Stars G Marty Turco under .500 against the Isles with 2.47 GAA.

Good thing to have + money with the home team playing a visitor struggling. I was able to get very good line at one of my sportsbooks but you can get something around +100 to +110 at most places.

    NY Islanders (+115)

Two teams up to a great start are clashing in Minnesota. However, Buffalo had to go to tougher schedule. Wild on 4 game winning streak, beating suspect oppostion in last 3 games (Atlanta, Florida and Tampa Bay). On the other hand, the Sabres have already beat top level opposition in Montreal and the Rangers this year. Minnesota will be tested for the first time this year. The Wild are involved in some circus with their return at home in the last few days. Minnesota dealing with the Marian Gaborik situation, a very hot topic. Deal or not... Will see if the focus is there. Buffalo getting value with + money. Worth a shot, Sabres G Ryan Miller has been on fire. You have nearly 70 % of the action on Minnesota in this matchup, you basically get a 10 cents gift with Buffalo because of the high % of bettors on the Wild.

      Buffalo (+122)
