I probably cashed more on the SJ game tonight than any of your followers, TA.

My jaw hit the floor when I first noticed the lazy legs on the sharks in the 1st period.

Well ...I know this much ....I am not wagering on the SJ game on Saturday. They have turned too sketchy lately for my taste.

I want to see the sharks play a Caps-style fast-paced play.

Until then no HP pavilion for me.

I don't often look for prop bets for hockey but if they have one for penalty shot, I might give it go. Just my two cents this morning. Pay no attention to it, I've only had a half a cup of coffee.

just throwing it out there.. this is might be a moronic play but has any1 noticed that each round their are more UNDER games than OVER...

i mean on thursday night i counted 7-3 in favour of under......

i mean when you think about it.. its easier not to score goals than to score..

has any1 tried this theory just betting blindly on the under for every game and coming out in front??????

I am no expert.. but i think all things being equal id feel more comfortable with the under..

disclamer.. got burned on the last rangers/TOR game taking the over...... didnt back DET against SJS cause SJS is my team.

It would be interesting to track that stat from not to night for a little while, I too have been looking at over/unders and grand salamias (total # of NHL goals from all games in a night) to see if I could find anything predictable. GL all

Joey - I actually followed this trend for quite sometime this season. If you go back and look at EVERY single nights total scores for each game (using standard o/u line of 5.5), you'll see more often than not that 54-60% of each night trend one way or the other - overs or unders. There are the big nights for each, however the trend overall is pretty even - for example (baseline o/u line of 5.5) from Jan 29-Last night 200 games were played...102 OVERS, 98 UNDERS - now if you break out o/u lines of 5 or 6 then you get pushes, unders that sway over, or vice versa...the trends just don't support it. The total number of goals however is a decent play...but it's similar to parlays, putting a ton of emphasis on more than one team, let alone EVERY SINGLE team in one night!

That trend doesn't last long. Bookies would have noticed this too, and adjusted lines to 4.5 or 5 if things were always going under.

O/U are almost always about 50-50 when the season ends.

How are you this fine evening? Is the weather acceptable at your location? If you're Catholic, is it true you're not allowed to eat meat on Friday's during Lent? What type of transportation do you use? I could keep going but I trust I made my point, right?

The first game tonight is at 7pm and that leaves more than enough to line shop and get in the game.

On a more serious note, they will be listed asap. Currently I still have three MLB games in-play and am following them between posts.

This might give a couple of the 4th liners more ice time. IMO, DET's 4-liners are better than many teams 2nd or 3rd. The Wings are DEEP.

I've given this much thought and started a thread in there (baseball). It will make this thread easier to follow since many cities have teams in both sports. A good example of this would be LA - earlier today both MLB teams were in action and the Kings play tonight. I would really be pist if someone played the "wrong" LA team. Make sense? What I might do is put a link in the siggy for each, so people could bounce between the two when I get some time.
