No, not at all. Not sure if it's the karma of posting it and getting a little bit of a big head or the change in teams mentalities with the playoffs on the horizon.
Hopefully we can get back on the horse and get back to winning. Based on $100 bets for each game, I am up over $1000 since December 29th. Even after the a-s kicking I took since posting.

Thanks! Hockey is different than other sports in the fact that if you go strictly by "research" you will get crushed. You have to know how teams are playing and how teams match up against each other. I watch as many games a night as I can and watch the recaps of games I missed and go off of how they have been playing.
I also do the research side of it as well and when both side match up heavily, then it would be a 4*. The 2* picks are usually ones that I feel good about, but because of the juice, it is a little more of a risky bet. Like the Calgary one the other night at -150. Not your best option to risk 100 to win 65 or so.
Being that I am doing this for fun or to prove myself right now, I don't put in nearly the amount of time I would like to. But, I have been successful so far and hopefully I can free up a little more time and become a top NHL handicapper.Comment -
Okay so do you bet the same amount regardless of the star, or does the star determine your wager? From your records shown it appears that you are only winning on 2* plays. Here is something to think about; how exactly does this gut feeling play into your picks? Try testing yourself for a week. No I bet higher with 4* and lower with 2*. Yea, from the short list I have on here that's the way it looks. The first 4* pick I lost was once I started posting on here, otherwise I have been money. The 2* picks usually go my way as well, but the juice is a little lobsided on those.
My reasoning behind the # of picks per nights is that it is easier to make money when you have a cushion for games that don't go your way. Hockey is such a difficult one to bet and if I do as well as I think I can I have a little more margin for error. If I just pick 2 games, I could lose both. But, if I pick 5-7 and hit 3-4, I have made money.
I have been making money all season and don't want to change anything up because I hit a little bump in the road. I will continue to take the same approach and hope the tide swings back around to my side. If not, then I may look into making some adjustments.Comment -
