The Sharks have been a good UNDER team all season while the Coyotes have also been going UNDER with regularity lately, so goals should be at a premium in this contest.

San Jose is third in the NHL in defense allowing a measly 2.17 goals per game, an average that dips even further to a microscopic 1.92 goals per game here at home! Thus it should come as no shock that the UNDER is 18-10 in all Shark games this year. These clubs have squared off just once so far this season, and predictably the end result was a tight-checking 2-1 San Jose victory.

Now the Coyotes had defensive issues early this year, but they have really tightened things up lately allowing 2.80 goals per game in the last five contests. Throw in the fact that the offense is still struggling, and it is understandable that the UNDER is 6-2 in the last eight Phoenix games overall. We do not expect the Coyotes to suddenly get well tonight vs. this San Jose defense, so we are looking for another low-scoring affair just like the first meeting this year.
