The two teams atop the Atlantic Division face off against each other tonight in New Jersey with the home Devils the play versus the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Penguins look to pick up a point in their 15th-straight game for the first time in nearly 14 years. Pittsburgh will also be out to snap an overall four-game losing skid, but New Jersey will be a tough place to do it.
The Devils are 20-5-1 overall against the Penguins since 2001, including seven wins in the past eight meetings. Pittsburgh did win once in four matchups this season, but has been outscored 8-2 in their two visits to New Jersey. The Devils have won five of six and are 16-3-3 since late December.
Goalie Martin Brodeur, who has given up two goals or fewer in four of the last five games, has posted a 1.76 goals-against average versus Pittsburgh this season. He figures to be the difference again tonight.
