I noticed a puckline/moneyline reversal on the Maple Leaf’s vs Hurricane’s lines earlier this morning. Then a couple hours later I heard the news that the Maple Leaf lines were broken up, separating Matthews and Tavares. Appears the SportsBooks don’t like the move as the Leafs started out as favorites over the Caines. I bought a Caines Money line ticket, along with a Blues Puckline, the addition of Neal to the Blues has changed the dynamics of the Blues. Word is Neal is a true locker room favorite, and , wherever he plays the teams go to the playoffs. So when I get to Atlantic City later this week I’m buying a ticket on the Blues to win the division and to make the playoffs.
Moving Nylander up to the 1st line with Tavares and Matthews down to the 2nd, might shake things up, though it seems like a reaction to all the noise from Toronto fans about the unproductive play of both Matthews and Tavares. Whatever the reasoning seems Vegas immediately reacted unfavorably to the line shifting at least for tonight’s game.
Sometimes these moves work and add a spark in the middle of a game, many times they do not. But it’s always a sign of lines that are not playing well off of each other.
Good Luck
