I love this spot for the Bruins for the following reasons. Going to keep it simple.
1. B's are coming off a tough 5-4 loss to Montreal on Tuesday with controversial officiating going against them in the game. It was their first loss in 8 games. They will be motivated to get back in the win column tonight.
2. I watched Detroit's last game against the Rangers and they looked absolutely awful. No structure and they take too many risks. Boston has one of the highest shooting percentages in the league. This one could be over early if Detroit doesn't tighten it up. I don't think they are capable at this point.
3. Prior to the loss to Montreal, Boston won 6 games in a row by two goals or more. They put teams away which is good for the PL obviously.
4. Tuukka Rask - .936 save % and 1.88 GAA
5. LAST BUT NOT LEAST.... Detroit won the last two meetings against Boston last year by multiple goals in each game. This stat might scare some people, but I actually love it because you can guarantee Boston won't be overlooking Detroit (the worst team in the league) and will be seeking revenge.
