Pens have me nervous. Have needed 2 late comebacks to get W's and this could be a trap game for them as they have Boston tomorrow at home and they could be caught looking ahead to that game. Rangers aren't a bad team by any means but the Pens seem to matchup well against them given their two beat-downs of them earlier in the season. Rangers have also looked terrible on the road. Leaning Pens right now cause they are hot but not sold on them yet.

didn't realize that the Rangers have the fewest goals on the road in the NHL. Only 19 goals in 11 games. Thats abysmal. Pens average over 3.5 GPG at home. The more I look, the more I like the Pens

Last time it ended 3-2 for Pittsburgh. I could easily see same kind of scores today. 2-2,3-1,1-3.. Maybe OT.. On the other hand Pittsburgh at home, no travelling. Solid victory yesterday. It may end up 2-4/5 for Pittsburgh. Huck! How is b2b statistics looking on these teams. Boston b2b on the road and Pens b2b @ home..?

there is one B2B situation today, predators go on the road to the Flames. The statistics for a team going on the road after coming off a road loss surprisingly aren't much in favor either way. The team will lose 55% of the time. Predators are 2-3 in B2B situations as well so nothing to pound. I do like the Flames at home but it likely won't be a sizeable bet. the updated spreadsheet is attached below.

actually after looking at it I may put a little $ on Pitt here. In B2B situations, which both teams are on, a team coming off a home win and going on the road (Boston) has lost the road game 77% of the time (6 wins to 20 losses). A team coming off a home win and playing at home the next day has won the second home game 80% of the time (12 wins to 3 losses). All signs point to the Penguins here.

staying away from the Sens game. In B2B situations, teams coming off a road win and going on the road again (Jets) have lost the 2nd road game 68% of the time (8 wins to 17 losses). However, Jets are 3-1 in B2B games this season and have been playing well lately. No play for me.

Also, according to my spreadsheet, Capitals are coming home after a road loss and the odds are not in their favor. Of the 19 times it has happened this year, teams in the Capitals situation have only won 6 of those times. However, they are playing a team also on a B2B so I think that somewhat negates the circumstance. Won't be playing this game either.
