This has been a tournament to remember. We saw matches which were as close as can be, such as Robyn's thriller with Untiltheendoftime, which ended in a bit of controversy although ultimately Robyn's Detroit pick would have advanced UTEOT regardless; the universe righted itself.
We saw absolute blowouts, mostly at the hands of the most experienced handicapper left in either side of the draw, the gentlemen that goes by the SBRforum posting alias of 'ShamsWoof10'.
We saw tears shed, we saw perspiration flowing through keyboards and damp hands gripping mouses tighter than Sting's leotards do his legs.
This is a handicapping tournament that will go down in history, not only for being the first ever 128 Man Handicapping contest held on SBR Picks, but for being the most lopsided tournament in perhaps all of message board history.
ShamsWoof10 in this short field reminds me of a professional archer, a la a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, pit against a group of under privileged high school kids that have only been close to a sports arena if you count the distance between their eyeballs and their 32'' Vizios.
ShamsWoof10 has not shown any signs of wavering under the bright lights, and we do not expect him to. Realistically, the only other SBRforum poster that has enough experience to even be in the discussion in so far as mustering an upset victory is BestPlay2Day, and even that seems-far fetched.
Yes folks, all the stars seem to be aligning for ShamsWoof10, and we expect him to finish in style. I'm predicting he covers a spread of -16 units won as far as the disparity between his units and his opponents in his final 3 matches.
